Making parts
Material choices, print orientation, fit and finish. I enjoy the process of getting a printed part ready for its intended job.
About Justin
Business owner, maker and the person behind the projects you’ll find here. Based in Richmond, British Columbia.

A bit about me
I’m Justin, and my work is a mix of 3D printing, websites and software. I enjoy getting involved in the details, whether that means working through a difficult print, improving a website or building a tool to make a repetitive job easier.
I run 3D Print BC, helping customers with prototypes, replacement parts, personalised items and small-batch FDM printing. There’s something satisfying about taking an idea from a file on a screen to a part you can hold, fit and put to work.
Through JR Media Group, I work on websites, branding and custom digital features. I’m interested in how a site works for the person using it: finding information, sending an enquiry and keeping content up to date should all be straightforward.
I also work on BiteBeaver, my business email signature and automated-reply project. Outside that work, I’m developing tools such as JARVIS, a personal AI assistant, and JROS / LayerPilot, an operations workspace for customers, quotes and print jobs.
I learn by trying things, finding out what needs fixing and working on the next version. That’s what connects the different things I do. I like solving a problem and being able to see the result.
This website brings my businesses and ongoing projects together. If something here sounds useful, or you have a project you’d like to talk through, I’d be glad to hear about it.
The work
Material choices, print orientation, fit and finish. I enjoy the process of getting a printed part ready for its intended job.
Clear layouts, useful features and an editing experience that lets a business keep its own information current.
Software experiments and business utilities, often prompted by a task I want to handle more efficiently myself.
